OREANDA-NEWS. According to Rosstat, truck production in January was 2.6 thousand units, which is less by 13.6% than a year ago.

It should be noted that KAMAZ and "GAZ Group", the largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles in Russia, in connection with a corporate holiday started the production this year only from January 26th. At the same time KAMAZ continued to work in a shortened, four-mode regime. And at the Gorky Automobile Plant during the holidays it was a large-scale modernization of production within the preparation for the launch of the all-metal van "Gazelle Next" in 2015.

Production of buses in Russia for the first month of 2014 fell by 29.1% to 791 units. Thus, the bus plants showed the largest drop among the Russian automotive manufacturers.
