OREANDA-NEWS. According to AA "AUTOSTAT", the Russian market of new SUVs in January 2015 was 37.6 thousand units, which is less by 34.6% than a year ago. Drop in sales of crossovers was slightly less than in the market of new cars as a whole (-38.3%). Segment share increased from 39.5% in January of 2014 to 41.8% in the first months of this year.
By the results of the first month of the new year, the market leader of off-road vehicles - is brand Nissan (in January it was sold 3.9 thousand units), Toyota is in the second place (3,7 thousand units), the third place is occupied by Mitsubishi (3,3 thousand units). All three brand-leaders showed a drop compared to January of 2014 more than a quarter (-25.7% drop in Toyota, -35,1% - at Mitsubishi, -48,2% - at Nissan). Hyundai is in the fourth place of ranking, which kept the volume of sales of SUVs on the same level as the last year - 2.9 thousand units).
In the top ten - there are two domestic brands, LADA and UAZ, both - with the positive dynamics in January (+ 18.0% and + 5.5%, respectively). It is worth noting that LADA - is the highest sales growth compared to other brands from the Top- 10 in January. The biggest drop - is at Renault (-68,1%), the brand is at the ninth place of Top-10.
