OREANDA-NEWS. VNIIR continues cooperation with the Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg in order to develop its scientific and technical platform and to improve quality of education.

In 2015 VNIIR is scheduled to fulfill a project on modernization of eMEGAsim hardware and software for on-line power system simulation manufactured by OPAL-RT Technologies (Canada). Accessories for the updated hardware and software, including DOBLE current and voltage amplifiers were shipped in December 2014. Commissioning and launch of updated eMEGAsim will be carried out in February.

As one of the most recognized experts in the field of power system simulation, VNIIR supplies local educational establishments with modern hardware and software.

Nowadays higher educational institutions must be equipped with advanced R&D platforms in order to prepare qualified young specialists within power industry. Updated eMEGAsim hardware and software will allow students to learn and test interrelation between RPA equipment and primary elements of power grids.
