TVEL's New Contracts with Foreign Partners Exceeds USD 3.0 Billion
OREANDA-NEWS. In 2014, TVEL's new contracts with its foreign partners are estimated to have exceeded USD 3.0 billion. The 10-year order portfolio has surpassed USD 10.0 billion.
These volumes were supported by fuel supply contracts with nuclear power stations in Hungary, Slovakia and Finland, and research reactors in the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Uzbekistan.
Following 2014, the Company has maintained its 17% share in the nuclear fuel market and strengthened its reputation of a reliable supplier, with all fuel shipments made right on time.
TVEL Fuel Company, a subsidiary of Rosatom, was established on 12 September 1996 to comprise a number of nuclear fuel producers, uranium conversion and enrichment companies, gas centrifuge manufacturers, and research and development organizations. The Company is the only fuel supplier for the Russian nuclear power plants. TVEL Fuel Company supplies nuclear fuel to 78 power reactors in 15 countries, research reactors in nine countries, and nuclear-powered ships. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on nuclear fuel produced by TVEL.
