BNP Paribas joins top 5 in “Top Employer France” ranking and Group receives “Top Employer Europe” certification
OREANDA-NEWS. BNP Paribas has joined the top 5 in the “Top Employer France” ranking and the Group was awarded “Top Employer 2015 Europe” certification, following last year’s certification. Awarded by the Top Employers Institute, this certification recognizes the quality of HR policies and working conditions offered to BNP Paribas employees, enabling them to pursue professional and personal fulfilment.
The European certification was achieved thanks to local certification in five countries. Individual countries will receive their national certification by 5 March.
An Employee Value Proposition embodied in the tagline “Let’s design tomorrow”, detailing the distinctive benefits of a career with the BNP Paribas group.
At the beginning of 2015, BNP Paribas completed an initiative begun the previous year to define its Employee Value Proposition.
For this collaborative project, the Group drew on input from interviews with managers – members of the executive committee, heads of business units, HR directors, etc. – as well as focus groups with employees who had been with the bank for less than a year (in Asia, Europe, the United States and Africa). The co-creation process also included workshops with representatives of all businesses and geographies. The resulting Employee Value Proposition spotlights strengths and distinctive advantages shared by all Group entities. It enables the bank to promote its HR policies with consistent messages targeting candidates.
“The bank for a changing world” must be both agile and responsive, and to nurture these values the Group must attract and retain the most talented people. Candidates and employees alike seek meaning. They want to clearly and succinctly understand what the company offers them as an employer, along with its values and commitments.
The vision that emerged from this participative initiative, drawing on numerous interviews, underlines BNP Paribas’ engagements in three essential areas:
BNP Paribas is a solid global leader, a company that places priority on ethics and responsibility and offers a great place to work;
The company’s work environment is open and innovative with a learning culture that lets employees thrive and pursue a client focus;
Career paths are tailored to each individual.
BNP Paribas scored especially high against three criteria in the Top Employer survey: talent management, corporate culture and career management.
