NBL-91: New Stage in NIBULON's Fleet Development
OREANDA-NEWS. NIBULON continues to implement its investment project to revive Ukrainian rivers as transport waterways and to construct its own cargo fleet as part of this project.
These days the first four railcars with metal-roll to be cut for NIBULON's three non-self-propelled vessels of NBL-91 project have been supplied to Kherson state plant "Pallada".
The metal-roll has 269 tons in weight which is 21% of the metal-roll amount to be supplied to this plant as part of this project. In the near future Kherson plant will receive 977 metal-roll to make parts for NBL-91 project barges.
Having received the metal, Kherson state plant "Pallada" started to clean, prime rolled plates and to cut parts for the vessels. 30 rolled plates of 8 mm thickness have been cleaned and primed, and 10 rolled plates have been cut.
Meanwhile, 200 tons of metal-roll to construct NBL-91 project vessels have been supplied to NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. In order to construct the barges as quickly as possible, while manufacturing parts at Kherson state plant "Pallada", NIBULON's shipbuilders will produce flat plates for outer plating and for inner bottom of the parallel body. The specialists have already prepared special stands to assemble flat plates.
NBL-91 project non-self-propelled vessels (barges) have river navigation area, two cargo holds to be transported being a part of barges with a pusher tug. The vessels are designed for transportation of general and bulk cargoes.
