OREANDA-NEWS. The power unit №3 of the Kalininskaya NPP was restarted after works on optimization of the vibration generator mode on February 9, 2015 at 01:00. The power unit was stopped on permitted application of the "Rosenergoatom Concern" on February 4 of this year.

Works were performed by the maintenance and engineering staff of the station, representatives of the OJSC "Power Machines".

There are four power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
