OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2015. Norway was ramping up natural gas flows to Belgium on Monday after they dropped unexpectedly to zero, data from gas system operator Gassco showed.

Norwegian gas flows via the Zeepipe pipeline dropped to zero after around 0800 GMT from a rate of over 40 million cubic metres (mcm) per day earlier.

By 1015 GMT flows to Belgium were running at a rate of 14 mcm/day. Belgian gas grid operator Fluxys said the drop occurred due to problems on the Norwegian side.

Gassco confirmed the drop, but did not provide details.
