OREANDA-NEWS.  All cars of the "Cortege" will be produced at the facilities of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which is the part of the group "Sollers". Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, announced about it.

Development partner of the project, including by the development of further sales, will be the company "RT-Auto", which is the part of the corporation "Rostech", engineering partner is a company Porsche, wrote the agency "Tass".

As it was reported before, the development of conceptual and technical projects of the Russian presidential limousine and line of support vehicles (sedan, SUV and minivan) within the project "Cortege" is completed. In 2015, we are going to develop a working design documentation of prototypes and to create the first prototype cars. Presidential limousine should be ready in 2017-2018's.

"It will be the big, heavy - about 6 tons - but agile and heavy-duty premium vehicle with an engine of about 800 HP and it will be, the safest car in the world", - said Alexey Borovkov, the head of the engineering center of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU).

For the project "The cortege" in 2015 and 2016 it will be spent about 8 billion Rubles, he said. In 2014, the project took 3.5 billion Rubles and the most of them is used to perform the design work and less – for the pre-production. "The closer to the end of the project, the greater the amount of funds will go on production and less - for development, " - said Alexey Borovkov.
