Air France low-cost carrier orders 20 Boeing 737s
The deal includes "17 firm (orders) plus three options," with delivery to begin in January 2016 and run through 2018, said an Air France-KLM statement.
"This new order fuels our objectives to become the leading French low-cost carrier and consolidate our leading position in the Netherlands," said Transavia CEO Bram Graber.
"Transavia has been operating 737s since the mid-1970s and it is a testament to the outstanding qualities of the 737 family," said Todd Nelp, Boeing's vice president of European sales.
Transavia France and Netherlands' fleets are composed exclusively of Boeing 737s, which are the top selling plane in the world.
