OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has called on Ukrainian MPs to return to vote on the bill on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding protection of the shareholders’ property rights (№1839). He told this at a session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday, 10 February.

The Prime Minister has also urged Ukrainian MPs to vote for the law on liability of the banks’ owners for connected lending, withdrawal of funds from banking institutions "and then the state is considered to be held responsible for the owners of banks, who looted banks."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed confidence that the newly appointed Prosecutor General of Ukraine have the appropriate tools "for regaining control of public property and criminal prosecution of bank owners who inflicted damage to the state and citizens of Ukraine."

We recall that in the morning only 175 MPs voted for the bill on protection of the shareholders’ property rights №1839.
