Deutsche Telekom appoints Ines Kolmsee to its Supervisory Board

- Ines Kolmsee joins the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG
- The Bonn District Court has appointed Ms. Kolmsee to the Supervisory Board effective January 31, 2015, until the 2015 shareholders' meeting, where she is to be nominated for election
- She will take up the post as shareholder representative following the death of Dr. Bernhard Walter on January 11, 2015
"Ines Kolmsee brings with her skills that will complement Deutsche Telekom's Supervisory Board in two important areas: her professional background means that she has amassed a broad range of business and finance experience in the industry sector. Her activities at Smart Hydro Power GmbH mean that she also has in-depth expertise in the start-up market, in the field of emerging markets. I would like to thank Ms. Kolmsee for agreeing to take on this demanding role that brings significant responsibility with it, and I look forward to working with her," said Ulrich Lehner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG.
Ines Kolmsee, born in Hamburg in 1970, is married with four children. Following a number of roles as management consultant at A.T. Kearney, in Ericsson's key accounts division and in the finance department at Arques Industries AG, in 2004 she took up the position of director of what was then SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding GmbH. From 2006 to 2014, Ines Kolmsee was CEO of SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AG. Alongside her positions on the supervisory boards of Fuchs Petrolub SE and Umicore S.A., she is also a member of the supervisory board of Suez Environment S.A. In 2013, Kolmsee received the Female Manager of the Year award.
With the appointment of Ines Kolmsee, there are now eight women on the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG. This means that, at 40 percent, the quota of women is already considerably higher that the self-imposed target set by the Supervisory Board of 30 percent by the end of 2015.
