Ukraine receives another tranche of humanitarian assistance for the needs of healthcare sector
OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2015. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine received a humanitarian assistance from the United Nations Children's Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF) worth about UAH 1 million 800 thousand.
This tranche of humanitarian aid from international organizations contains 44 medical basic kits for emergency care, which includes medications and medical purpose goods. One such set allows rendering help to 1000 people during a period of three months.
Moreover, UNICEF has transferred to Ukraine 90 kits to provide obstetric care. One such kit complies with principal requirements and can be used for about 50 normal uncomplicated birth cases.
The total cost of the kits for surgeries and resuscitation measures for mothers and newborns makes up over UAH 1 million 425 thousand.
The humanitarian cargo will be delivered to Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.
