OREANDA-NEWS. ASTARTA published Sustainable Development Report for the year 2014 demonstrating progress in the areas of personal development, environmental protection, regional development and anti-corruption. It is the fifth non-financial report of the Company since joining UN Global Compact in 2008, when ASTARTA took responsibility to report annually on progress within the framework of such internationally recognized sustainability initiative. This year the Company considerably expanded the format of the report and focused on the issues defined as "material" in the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy adopted in 2014.

Despite a tough year, the Company hasn't changed its policy and fulfilled a number of essential steps towards sustainable development. Energy efficiency and energy supply programs became top priorities of business operation and social responsibility. Prime attention was paid to environmental protection and staff health and safety issues as well. Company has successfully undergone international certification and diagnostic audits. ASTARTA continued implementing programs aimed at development of the regions of presence. The budget of social responsibility initiatives in 2014 exceeded UAH 28,1 mln.
