OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has won the open tender for the provision of voluntary health insurance (VHI) service. The insurant was Federal State Unitary Enterprise Space Communication.

The contract provides insurance protection for 870 employees of FSUE Space Communications. The insurance amount for each employee is RUB 40.5 m. The insurance programs include outpatient and inpatient services, emergency medical services and home care, and dental care. The effective term of the contract is two years.

Two other federal level insurance companies took part in the tender along with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been cooperating with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Space Communications in the field of insurance of space risks since 1999, and since 2012 it has also cooperated in the field of voluntary health insurance.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Space Communications is Russia's national satellite communications operator and has Russia's largest orbital group, which includes 11 geostationary satellites. The company is among the ten largest world satellite operators in terms of its orbital and frequency resource and has over 40 years of experience in the establishment and operation of satellite systems for public and commercial users in the Russian Federation and in most of the other countries of the world. FSUE Space Communications is registered with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is a full member of the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC) and World Teleport Association (WTA).
