Power engineers of IDGC of Centre restored the interrupted power supply by bad weather in the Tambov region
Adverse weather conditions such as rain, wet snow and gusty winds caused power outages in some areas of the Tambov region. The power engineers immediately sent all available forces and means to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. 81 crews (430 people) were on the around the clock duty for more than three days, in their work 176 vehicles were used to provide residents of the region with electricity as quickly as possible.
A particular challenge in the Tambov region was created by snow drifts, high accident rate on the roads and resulting traffic jams, which made it difficult for repair crews to move quickly to problem areas. Despite this, the Tambov power engineers promptly powered socially important facilities, bringing redundant power supply sources there.
