Train carrying ethanol derails in Iowa
OREANDA-NEWS. A Canadian Pacific (CP) train derailed earlier today near Dubuque, Iowa, with one car containing ethanol catching fire.
There were no injuries as a result of the derailment, nor any danger to the public as a result of the fire, according to the Dubuque sheriff's office. The accident happened between Waupeton and Finleys Landing, Iowa, on a section of track adjacent to the Mississippi river.
A representative from CP was not immediately available for comment.
