OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2015. The Turkish central bank said on Wednesday that improvements in core inflation indicators have continued after data showed consumer prices rose 1.1 percent month-on-month in January.

After Tuesday's data, the central bank scrapped the idea of holding a policy meeting to cut rates this week, drawing thinly veiled criticism from President Tayyip Erdogan and his entourage, who had pressed for an early, growth-boosting cut.
