February 04, 2015. The Chairmen of Zagreb and Ljubljana Stock Exchanges confirmed that the two stock exchanges will continue their long-term cooperation in the organization of events and exchange of know-how.
Their first major joint project this year will be the second International Investment Conference, which will take place in Zagreb on 26 May 2015.
“We consider the Ljubljana Stock Exchange our partner and will certainly continue our dialogue in various forms of cooperation, and also look for new fields of cooperation.” said Ivana Gazic, President of the Zagreb Stock Exchange Management Board.
Andrej Sketa, President of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Management Board, welcomes the idea of continued cooperation and adds that, “Both Exchanges share the same geographical, historical and economic backgrounds, and thus, further cooperation in addressing investors and developing respective local markets will positively serve the interests of both markets.”
Last year’s joint Investment Conference proved a great success. It was attended by 24 investment companies and banks, and 48 analysts and investors from Croatia, Slovenia, Denmark, Finland and Great Britain held as many as 150 one-on-one meetings, which showed that cooperation of Exchanges in such activities can help increase investors’ interest and further strengthen the existing trust of local as well as international investors.
