Corum Launches Second Assembly Site in Druzhkovka
OREANDA-NEWS. The company Corum launched the second assembly plant for longwall and tunneling machinery and electrical equipment on the basis of the enterprise "Corum Druzhkovksky Machinery Plant". Launch with key customers took place on 23 December.
"The opening of a second site for the assembly of equipment - the next step of our company in the transition to the OEM-model production. Here we plan to assemble all product lines of tunneling and longwall equipment, stationary, as well as electrical equipment, which was previously manufactured and assembled by specialists of our company on factories "Corum Donetskgormash", "Corum Donetsk energozavod" and "Corum Gorlovsky machine-building plant " - said the director of the Division of underground mining Corum Group Ildar Saleev. - "At the moment, the first phase of assembly production has been implemented and launched. Works on the project is continuing actively, much remains to be done, but today we are already assembling here belt conveyors and roadheaders. In general, the planned capacity of production will fully satisfy the need in equipment of both domestic and foreign markets".
The total area of the workshop is more than 15,000 square meters. Implementation of the project is planned in three phases, and the full capacity is planned to be achieved by August 2015. By this time, the company plans to equip the site ten overhead cranes, specialized stands for testing and tuning of suspension devices, balancing of rotors of the main fans and others. At the final stage of the project in the area of stationary equipment the gasket of rail sidings is scheduled.
Recall that the first assembly line of Corum was opened at this summer on the basis of the enterprise "Corum Svet Shakhtyora" (Kharkov). For today, on this site two roadheader KPD has been already assembled for Polish miners. By the way, the high level of assembly production Corum was marked Polish partners - the company KFG Electric System, in particular the president Marcin Ptashniy and technical director Marcin Glodny, who visited the site this summer.
