IndianOil Announces New Director (Pipelines)
OREANDA-NEWS. Mr. Anish Aggarwal took over as the Director (Pipelines), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., India's leading Fortune Global 500 Company on February 1, 2015.
Mr. Aggarwal was working as the Executive Director (Operations) of IndianOil's Pipelines Division, leading the team of experts in charge of operations and maintenance of IndianOil's 11,221 km long network of cross country pipelines transporting crude oil and petroleum products. He has played a key role in ensuring pipeline system availability for transportation of crude oil to IndianOil's landlocked refineries in Koyali, Mathura, Panipat, Haldia, Barauni and Bongaigaon as well as petroleum product delivery through pipelines from the refineries to marketing terminals across the country.
Earlier, Mr. Aggarwal headed the Western Region Pipelines as Executive Director. He was responsible for operations of offshore crude oil terminals comprising of two Single Point Mooring systems at Vadinar in Gujarat and large crude oil tank farms at Vadinar, Mundra, Viramgam and Chaksu in the region.
An engineering graduate in Electronics and Electrical Communication from Punjab Engineering College Mr. Aggarwal has Post Graduate Management qualification from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. Mr. Aggarwal joined IndianOil in 1979 and has handled a variety of key assignments in Petroleum Pipeline Operations, Maintenance, Projects and Telecommunications & Instrumentations at Regional offices and Head Office of IndianOil's Pipelines Division.
During his career spanning over three decades, Mr. Aggarwal provided his expertise in the construction and commissioning of significant pipelines projects like Paradip-Haldia Crude Oil Pipeline, Chennai-Trichy-Madurai Pipeline, Panipat-Rewari Product Pipeline, Kandla-Bhatinda Pipeline, Koyali-Sanganer Pipeline and augmentation of Haldia-Mourigram-Rajbandh Pipeline, Panipat-Jalandhar LPG Pipeline, Dadri-Panipat Gas Pipeline.
Mr. Aggarwal is an avid reader, likes to listen music and a bridge player. He has widely travelled in India and has participated and chaired several international conferences, representing IndianOil and the Oil & Gas sector.
