OREANDA-NEWS. On November 1, 2014 construction of the Smorgon Agro Logistics Centre (ALC Smorgon) was completed. The facility was built in three stages in just over two years (from 31/07/2012 to 01/11/2014), with total investment amounting to USD 35 million. The Logistics centre is owned by Sodrugestvo Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Sodrugestvo Group is gradually expanding its logistics infrastructure in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The company has had a presence in the Belarusian market for more than 20 years and the development of this centre adds dedicated logistics infrastructure to the Group's capabilities in country.

Additional investment by the Group in the Agro Logistics facility in Belarus is also expected to take place in order to expand the Group's product offering at the centre.

Development of the Group's own infrastructure will enable Sodrugestvo Group to enhance its supply network and broaden its offering for clients in the Belarussian market with the ability to supply goods from dedicated logistics infrastructure.
