OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2015. Bangladesh's state grains buyer has issued a new international tender to purchase and import 100,000 tonnes of wheat as a large import programme continues, European traders said on Monday.

Optional origin was sought in two lots of 50,000 tonnes with shipment 40 days after contract signing, traders said. Tender closing date is Feb. 15 and offers must remain valid until Mar. 1, they said.

A separate tender from Bangladesh to purchase 50,000 tonnes of wheat closes on Feb. 3 with offers to remain valid up to Feb. 16.

Bangladesh's Directorate General of Food, the state grain buyer, wants to import 900,000 tonnes of wheat in the current fiscal year ending in June.
