http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifOREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2015. In the framework of the working trip to Zaporizhia Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk together with German Ambassador Dr. Christof Weil visited a modular camp for internally displaced persons.

The Head of the Government examined the readiness of the camp to shelter the IDPs.

In an interview with journalists, he noted that the modular camp had been connected to the engineering networks, "After beautification of the territory the people will be able to move in".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that this is one of the seven modular camps for the internally displaced persons, "which were erected with support of the Federal Government of Germany and personally Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel".

In general these camps will provide enough area to accommodate about 4 thousand people.

The Prime Minister stressed that presently there had been registered about 1 million of internally displaced residents: "The fact that we have launched, including on support of our international partners, construction of such temporary accommodation facilities is an important step in providing people with housing."

Moreover, Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that at today’s meeting of the State Commission on Emergency Situation in Zaporizhia he would instruct to carry an inventory “of the unfinished shelter, all the hostels, all real estate objects along the country with over 80% readiness”, “In the aftermath, to find funding from the State Budget and finish such housing to accommodate on constant basis those people who moved out because of Russian terrorists”.
