Konstantin Kamarali, the Head of Trade Finance and Documentary Transactions Department of FUIB: “Last year was the most difficult of all 20 years of our work on the market of documentary transactions. Significant devaluation of the national currency and military actions in Donbass created unprecedentedly complicated conditions for work. Nevertheless, we managed to retain the volumes of transactions and attracted new clients due to
better conditions and service quality. In 2015 we will offer new services such as guarantees for foreign distributors and agricultural companies”.
In the conditions of limited lending or its absence, documentary transactions remain an available funding tool. In the current economic conditions it is
especially important that documentary instruments allow to minimise the risks of default on contractual obligations, deliberate default on payment, and to
minimise political risks (changes in the law, international sanctions, and embargo).
FUIB has the two decade experience in domestic and international markets of documentary operations and trade financing. For many years FUIB remains among TOP 5 banks leading in volumes of such operations in Ukraine. The FUIB has wide experience of work with the countries of Western Europe, North and South America as well as Middle East (including such countries as India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia). FUIB is one of two banks in Ukraine that have the financing lim it with Hermes, international export credit agency.
