OREANDA-NEWS. According to Rosstat, the production of trucks in January-December was 154,000 units, which is less by 25.7% than a year ago.

The largest truck manufacturer in Russia, KAMAZ, in 2014, produced and sold about 38.9 thousand units (-9%). It should also be noted that GAZ launched the production of medium truck of a new generation of "GAZon Next" the last year, and plant "Ural" started the production of upgraded all-wheel drive truck "Ural-M." At the plant Ford Sollers in Yelabuga it was started the assembly of a new van Ford Transit Custom. Joint venture "Sollers-Isuzu" launched on the basis of UAZ the full-scale production of trucks Isuzu, while the company started the production of medium cars Isuzu of F-Series (Forward). In addition, Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor" started the assembling of heavy-duty trucks TATA Daewoo and Ford Trucks.

It should be added that the production of buses in Russia in 2014 decreased by 18.2% to 43.2 thousand units.
