Rough maintenance to curb gas withdrawals

OREANDA-NEWS. Unplanned maintenance will reduce withdrawal capacity by 50pc at the UK's long-range Rough Storage facility for 24 hours at some point in the next two to three weeks.

Operator Centrica said it will provide more details on the timing of the outage, once it is scheduled.

Withdrawals from the facility were 42.1mn m?/d on 26-29 January — the first four days of this week — and were running at 44.5mn m?/d today, just short of maximum withdrawal capacity.
