AvtoVAZ plans to minimize the reduction of managers
OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ will reduce the number of managers, professionals and employees (DSIS), first of all, due to natural attrition, the head of the official trade union of the enterprise, Sergey Zaitsev, informed "Interfax".
"First, the Staffing DSIS will be achieved through natural attrition, transfer people to vacant jobs or part-time work. Together with the Ministry of Labour of the Samara region and the center of employment it is developed the opportunity of leave of the number of employees for early retirement”, - said Mr.Zaytsev, noting that the reduction of staff is" a necessary measure "associated with the decrease of the Russian market and the need to display on a positive financial performance. "By agreement with the management of the company, in case of termination by agreement of the parties to apply there will be compensation payments", - "Finmarket" agency cited Mr.Zaytsev.
According to him, the plant's management has ensured that the total number of reduced DSIS in 2015 will not exceed the announced 1100 (with the total number of about 10 thousand) - "It is possible that it will be reduced." "In this case, the employer has confirmed that it would not reduce workers" - added Mr.Zaytsev.
AvtoVAZ notified about the impending dismissal of workers trade union and the employment service on January 14th. However, as Mr.Zaytsev reported, workers of "daughter" of AvtoVAZ - LLC "Volga Engineering Plant" (VSP) began to receive notifications about reductions. According to the chairman of the informal union VSP - Interregional Trade Union of Workers Association (MPRA), Vyacheslav Erepov, the firing of employees of VSP started in December of the last year. "There were laid off about 350-400 people," - Mr.Erepov informed "Interfax". According to him, "auxiliary and main plant workers” fall in the first place under the dismissal. "But as far as I know, the notification of the cuts is also received by staff DSIS" - added Mr.Erepov. Earlier it was reported that the "daughter" of AvtoVAZ in January 2015 can cut about 850 employees.
At the same time the head of the independent trade union of workers of AvtoVAZ "Unity", Peter Zolotarev, is not sure that the next reduction of staff at AvtoVAZ will be the only in 2015. "Everything depends on the ability of the plant during the year to reduce the number of employees through natural attrition. If yes, then cuts will be avoided. Otherwise, they will continue. Do not rule out that there may be a new wave of layoffs", - he informed "Interfax", suggesting that the personnel policy of AvtoVAZ may be revised," if workers will resist (layoffs)”.
