OREANDA-NEWS. In December VNIIR specialists supplied digital protective relays to Thermal Power Plant No.21 within Mosenergo's investment program of technical retrofitting of local electrical equipment. In the frame of the project, cabinet with six sections for bus bar protection of 220 kV open switchgear was shipped, including integrated software.

Installation and commissioning are scheduled for the second quarter of 2015.

Thermal Power Plant No.21 is the largest producer of thermal energy in Europe. The station serves the needs of over 3 million people in Moscow. VNIIR's equipment aims to increase plant's reliability and to ensure the safety of the maintenance personnel.
