OREANDA-NEWS. Alstom T&D India Limited announced its financial results, for the third quarter ended December 2014, following approval by the Company’s Board of Directors.

For Q3, 2014-15

Order Intake                 : 11,773 MINR

Sales                            : 7,630 MINR

Profit After Tax            : 26 MINR

For 9 Months ended December 2014

Order Intake                 : 41,669 MINR ( Y-O-Y + 70% )

Sales                            : 23,417 MINR  ( Y-O-Y + 6%)

Profit After Tax            : 665 MINR  ( Y-O-Y + 22% )

Order Backlog              : 84,000 MINR ( Y-O-Y +30% )

During the third quarter, Alstom announced key contract wins that include order by Ceylon Electricity Board for introducing the first energy management system to the Sri Lankan national grid. It also won orders from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited to supply a 400/220 kV substation in Bhadla, and expand the existing 400/220 kV substation in Bikaner, both situated in the state of Rajasthan. The Company also secured an order from NTPC Limited to supply a 765 kV switchyard at 2x800 MW Darlipalli Super Thermal Power Project in Sundergarh, Odisha.

Apart from these, Alstom T&D India had some other major successes including orders from Power Grid for 400 kV GIS substation at Betul and orders from state utilities - KSEB[1] and BSPTCL[2] for 110 kV GIS and 220kV AIS substations respectively.

During the quarter, Alstom T&D India achieved a major feat by successfully commissioning Rajasthan’s first 765kV substation at Anta. It also commissioned eleven reactors for Power Grid across various sites, 220kV GIS substation at Barmer for Cairn India and 132 kV substation at Serakol for West Bengal transmission utility to name a few.

With higher order intake during the quarter, order backlog has reached highest level of 84,000 MINR. The Company also delivered on project execution front with the successful commissioning of Rajasthan’s first 765kV substation at Anta which is a remarkable achievement for the team.”
