OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot was awarded as The Best Travel Brand 2014 in China according to the leading Beijing newspaper The Beijing News. The solemn ceremony was held in Beijing.

Chinese market is a key market for the principal Russian airline. Aeroflot show the significant growth in passenger traffic on the Chinese direction: more than 15% comparing with 2013, while the share of transfer passengers is more than 50%.

The development of aviation transit between Europe and Asia is an important issue for Aeroflot. Russian carrier offers the best transfer network between Asia, Europe and the US with convenient connections at Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. Due to the optimized routes system passengers could save up to 2 hours of flight in comparison with other foreign hubs.

Aeroflot main competitive advantages are: the youngest fleet among the world’s major airlines (100 and more aircraft in operation), impeccable punctuality and the highest level of service on board. These allowed Russian carrier to obtain leadership position on Chinese aviation market, significantly contributing to the development of relations between two friendly countries.

Leadership in the Beijing News ranking shows the effectiveness of Aeroflot strategy, where one of the priorities is to increase the airline activity on the promising markets of East Asia.

Last year Aeroflot was also awarded as The Best Foreign Airline in The Republic of Korea. Russian carrier received the maximum score in the ranking published by the leading Korean magazine in the field of tourism — Global Travel Newspaper Korea.
