TISCO Obtained Favorable Comments in Public Transparency Assessment
OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2015. 2014 Annual Meeting for Chinese Enterprises Sustainable Competitiveness, jointly held by Chinese Institute of Business Administration and Beijing Rongzhi Institute of Corporate Social Responsibility, issued the firstling of “2014 Bluebook for Chinese Enterprises Public Transparency” in Beijing. Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd ranked 14th in the list of “2014 Chinese Enterprises Public Transparency Index”, being the 2nd company in steel sectors. At the same time, TISCO was awarded “Best Company in Environmental Information Disclosure”.
For years, TISCO unswervingly focuses on strengthening its main business and carry out extensional development, diversified development, green development and harmonious development; it unceasingly explores effective channels for communication with its investors, clients, suppliers, staff and other stakeholders; it actively promote cooperation and interaction; and it improves transparency and publicity of enterprise information. TISCO harmoniously co-exists with the city, the nature and the society by insisting on strengthening self-intendance and public overseeing, and by carrying out a lot of specific measures like real-time information disclosure, “Environmental Open Day” program, industrial leading PM2.5 emission cutting activity, and etc.
The public transparency assessment takes top 200 Chinese enterprises as its investigation subjects. The assessment scientifically and precisely appraise the 200 enterprises’ information transparency through looking into their webs, reports, publications, media news and other information disclosed publicly, and analyzing the time, content, channel, format and quantity of their information release.
More than 100 representatives attended this meeting, including officials from State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of State Council, China Federation of Industrial Economics, and related industry associations; experts from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other institutes; representatives from The United Nations Development Programme; and delegations from enterprises and Non-government Organizations home and aboard.
