OREANDA-NEWS. Russian sales of hatchback Datsun mi-Do will begin in the next two weeks, said the director of the Datsun in Russia, Jerome Sego. The date of the start of series production of mi-Do at AvtoVAZ was not announced by the representative of Datsun. In the autumn of 2014, Mr.Sego said that the production of mi-Do in Togliatti will begin in February - March of 2015. According to "Auto Review", the new car is produced - from mid-January. While this is a pre-production series, says a source, close to AvtoVAZ. It will begin soon the pre-order design and commodity cars will be on sale in March-April, say workers of two dealers Datsun.

Production volumes of mi-Do is not disclosed, wrote the newspaper "Vedomosti". Earlier it was reported that by 2016 it is planned to produce about 100 thousand of both models Datsun per a year. Within three years, it will appear the third model, the details are unknown.

Prices for hatchback mi-Do were not announced yet. Sedan on-Do, which is produced at AvtoVAZ since July of 2014, costs from 339,000 rubles. Competitors of mi-Do, as well as the sedan, will be Lada, new and used cars that cost up to 400 thousand rubles, says the Datsun. For comparison: hatchback Lada Kalina costs from 361,300 rubles. In 2014, Russia had sold 65,609 Kalina cars; sales of Datsun were 11,414 units for four months since the launch to the Russian market.

This year, Datsun, likely, will be able to sell about 40,000 cars, hatchback mi-Do will have about a third of this volume, predicts the executive director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Udalov. According to the general director of Autodealer.ru, Oleg Datskiv, sales of new car will be up to 20,000 units. The market will continue to decline, says Mr.Udalov, but the high localization will help the brand, due to which the company will be able to keep prices down, and recycling program - Datsun announced that it has renewed this program until the end of February.
