OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2015. Prime Minister Karim Massimov held a meeting with European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmstrom at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The sides discussed the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

Also K. Massimov and Cecilia Malmstrom considered topical issues of the forthcoming accession of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Karim Massimov noted that Kazakhstan is working to finalize the process of accession to the WTO on terms that meet the long-term national economic interests.

In addition, the parties agreed that WTO accession will further enhance trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU.
