OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2015. The SORAINEN partners have unanimously decided that partners Toomas Prangli and Laimonas Skibarka will be co-managing the firm.

At the same time they will continue leading the SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity practices in Estonia and Lithuania respectively.

Toomas Prangli’s career with SORAINEN started back in 1997 in Tallinn. After six years he became one of the first partners in the firm. During 2009-2010, he managed, integrated and developed the SORAINEN Belarusian office. Toomas headed the firm’s regional M&A and Private Equity practices for many years and played a key role in building and developing the firm's internationally acclaimed M&A Practice. Currently he is office managing partner of SORAINEN Estonia.
 
Laimonas Skibarka joined the SORAINEN partnership in 2006 and has also served as regional and local head of the firm’s M&A and Private Equity practices for some years. Appointed two years ago as office managing partner of SORAINEN Lithuania, Laimonas has contributed to the remarkable growth of the office in terms of revenue, staff and work on major projects.

Previous managing partner Pekka Puolakka was appointed to the role in 2009. During the last five years the firm has grown significantly and increased its market share in the region and the partnership, for which thanks to Pekka for his enthusiasm, dedication and excellent work. Unfortunately, for family reasons, Pekka is forced to limit his role in the firm, although he will continue to work as Of Counsel supporting client relationships and managing selected projects, especially within the corporate and M&A areas.
