OREANDA-NEWS. Christian Kremer has been named CEO of AGCO-RM agricultural joint venture (JV between global manufacturer of agricultural equipment AGCO and Russian Machines Corporation being part of Basic Element industrial group).

Christian Kremer will continue with already announced projects across all AGCO-RM business areas aiming to implement AGCO growth strategy in the Russian market and achieve greater localization of the most popular agricultural equipment.

AGCO-RM project started in September 2013 with signing a Joint Venture Agreement. Since then, the companies have built an assembly facility and logistics centers for finished products and spare parts based at the 12.5 ha Golitsyno site. Challenger and Massey Ferguson SKD assembly is already under way with Fendt and Valtra models to come by the end of the year. In January 2015, AGCO and Russian Machines closed the deal and announced the start of JV business operations.

Christian Kremer is a Business School graduate (Industrial Entrepreneurship major). He started his career in the automotive industry with BMW in 1986 and became President of BMW Group Russia in 2003. Between 2003 and 2010, he transformed BMW Group Russia into one of the most successful international car companies operating in the Russian market. From 2010 - President of BMW Italy. From 2011 - member of the Board of Directors of Mercury Russia in charge of Sales and Marketing. From 2014 - CEO of RM-Terex, LLC.
