According to marketing company Boston Consulting, vehicles with autonomous control elements that can move independently on the highway and in the conditions of traffic jams in metropolitan areas, may appear en masse in the world markets already in 2017. By 2025, the market of technologies for autonomous vehicles could reach 42 billion Dollars, says Boston Consulting. According to the forecast BC, by 2022, such cars will be able to self-drive on busy city streets, and up to a quarter of the world's car sales will may account for such vehicles in 2035, writes "Za rulem.RF."

Meanwhile, a survey of 1,500 US drivers, conducted in September of the last year, showed that more than half of the respondents are more likely to have indicated their willingness to buy a car with elements of autonomous control in the next five years, while 44% of respondents reported that they are likely to buy a fully self-driven car in ten years.
