Hyundai Sales Decrease by 0.8% in Russia in 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of Hyundai at the end of 2014 sold 179,631 cars, which is less by 0.8% than a year before.
The best-selling brand of brand is still Hyundai Solaris, which is the absolute leader among the models of foreign origin in the Russian market. Last year it was sold 114,644 cars of this model, which is more by 0.5% than a year ago. In 2014, the company has overcome the barrier of 10,000 sold Solaris vehicles per month four times. In addition, Hyundai Solaris set a new all-time record - it was sold more than 400 thousand cars of this model for less than four years. It should be noted that in June of 2014 sales of new Hyundai Solaris started in the Russian market, which allowed the company to show an even greater increase in the sales of this model.
The second most popular among Hyundai models became a crossover ix35 - during the year it was sold 34,814 units, which is more by 10% compared with 2013 year. Hyundai Santa Fe crossover closes the three best-selling - its result was 8128 sold cars.
It is also worth noting the success of the company "Hyundai Motor CIS" in the D-segment - in the last year, sales of i40 model in Russia became a record among all local markets of Hyundai. Business sedan i40, which was sold in amount of 6886 units, is one of the leaders in its segment.
The company also strengthened significantly its position in the premium segment with the new Hyundai Genesis, which was presented in the Russian market in May of the last year. The buyers of the premium Hyundai Genesis in 2014 became 631 clients.
The flagship of the Hyundai Equus has continued to hold firmly its position among the leaders in the premium segment, and in 2014, occupying a fourth place at the end of the year. In the last year it was sold 632 of such cars in Russia.
