The rest industrial production in the "ZiL" - a joint venture of the Sberbank and the mayor of Moscow "MosAvtoZil" and JV Japanese IHI and AMO "ZIL" "Alpha Automotive Technologies” (AAT) - can move into automotive cluster within the "old Moscow ", a project of which is developed by a department of science, Industrial policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow.

"The concept of territory "ZIL" development does not imply the location on the site of heavy production. At the same time, AMO "ZIL" and AAT are important strategically for the city. So, both companies could continue to work under the most favorable conditions for themselves, there are held negotiations about the relocation of them to another site", - the press service of the department informed the agency "Prime".

The Department is developing a program of development of the automotive cluster in the old borders of Moscow. It is expected that there will be moved production facilities of "MosAvtoZil" and AAT. This area can be offered to foreign companies that want to locate production in Moscow. Participants of negotiations were not reveled in the department, noting that the issue with the cluster can be solved in the next two years.

"MosAvtoZil" was considered by Daimler as a potential site for the assembly of luxury Mercedes W222, but the company was refused. As options the German company considers the industrial park in Shushary of Leningrad region. Daimler knows the plans to move production of the Moscow government. The Department invited colleagues from Stuttgart to visit the site in the Southern Port and Western Biryulyovo.

The Government of Moscow proposed sites within the city and AAT that did not suit the Japanese company shareholder, the company IHI. He warned that if the AAT will not be able to keep the production on "ZIL", the company will have to stop it, which will to lead to the stop of the conveyor of main consumer of products AAT - "Renault Russia”.
