OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2015. Working visit of the Kazakh governmental delegation headed by Vice Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov to Germany was held, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The Kazakh governmental delegation participated in the World Forum of Food and Agriculture, organized traditionally on the international exhibition "Green Week" in Berlin, as well as in the meeting of agriculture ministers of participating countries. The delegation also included leading employees of the Ministry and the National Company "KazAgro".

The forum was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany Christian Schmidt. The issues of national food security, food industry, agriculture, development of the agricultural sector and other issues were discussed in the framework of the forum.

During its stay in Berlin Kazakh governmental delegation held bilateral meetings with the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany Robert Clausen, Minister of Agriculture of Mongolia Radia Burmaa and other officials. In addition, negotiations were held on deepening cooperation with the leadership of German companies "GWE-Group", "CLAAS" and others.

It should be noted that 1650 exhibitors from 70 countries (2013 - 1630 from 67 countries) were presented in the current 80th trade fair "Green Week" in Berlin. 70 agriculture ministers from all continents and a significant increase in the number of foreign delegations have made the exhibition record for the number of foreign participants since 1926.
