ANRCETI Announces Tender for Sale of Licenses Worth over EUR 1 mn
OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2015. In particular, the National Agency for regulation in electronic communications and information technology announced a competition for the right to use radio frequencies in the band 3 400-3 600 MHz in order to provide networks and services for common use of terrestrial mobile electronic communications broadband wireless access and fixed wireless access.
Applications for participation in corresponding tender and accompanying documents may be submitted to the Agency prior to March 13, 2015. Submitted licenses will be allocated for the period of 15 years. The license provides the licensee the right to use the same radio frequency range (it is a block of 10 channels width of 5 MHz each) with a total bandwidth of 50 MHz in the provision of electronic communications services public broadband fixed radio access, nomad, mobile type, directly from the consumer.
The competition is attended by legal entities from the Republic of Moldova, foreign legal entities, and civil society/association of legal entities from the Republic of Moldova and/or from abroad for the purpose of submitting a joint proposal. The winners will be selected via open international competition, with the use of a comparative selection procedure, according to the criteria and conditions stipulated in the technical specifications of the competition, approved by ANRCETI on December 30, 2014.
Placement of 4 licenses is provided by the Program control of the radio frequency spectrum for 2013-2020 approved by the government. According to this normative document, the minimum price of the placing on the competition of one range of frequencies in the band 3400-3600 MHz is 1 million euros.
