OREANDA-NEWS. Over the 12 months of the year 2014 the operations of the OJSC Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) holdings produced 98.9 million tonnes of coal. Compared to the same period of the previous year the production increased by 2%.

In 2014, sales volume went up 3% against the same period of the previous year, amounting to 95.4 million tonnes of coal. The international market coal sales went up 8% and amounted to 45.6 million tonnes of coal; the Company's own coal exports grew by 5% and amounted to 40.5 million tonnes of coal. The major international consumer markets are China, UK, South Korea, Japan, Netherlands, Thaiwan and Germany.

As many as 49.8 million tonnes of coal were sold to consumers within Russia, which is 1% below the previous year indicators, with 37.7 million tonnes from the above amount shipped to electric power-generating facilities.
