OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2015. In 2014 Sberbank clients completed an average of 10m transactions per day in Sberbank branches and through remote channels.

In 2014 the figure increased 27% year-on-year, while payments for utilities increased 35% – Igor Mamontov, Director of the Department for Payments and Transfers at Sberbank, announced during the press conference.

Igor Mamontov pointed out that in 2014 Sberbank became the market leader for processing mobile phone payments, despite having a mere 3% percent market share only three years ago. In 2014 the number of payments for mobile phone services through Sberbank increased 25% year-on-year. On average, clients completed 6 mln transactions every day, while automatic payments through Sberbank increased by one-fourth. Today this service is used by 18 million clients of the bank.

The share of noncash payments increased by 50%, while the number of clients completing transactions through “mobile bank” increased by 44%, and “Sberbank Online” – more than two-fold.

“Noncash payments have advantages for the bank and the client,” said Igor Mamontov. “The client saves time and money, while the bank learns more about the client and their needs and can provide better, more targeted, offers. The reliability and stability of Sberbank’s IT system provides safety and convenience for clients’ noncash payments.”
