OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2015. The National Bank of Ukraine passed MEGABANK, PJSC for 2015 from a group of medium-sized banks to a group of “Large banks”. Commission of the National Bank of Ukraine on supervision and regulation of banks’ activities made a corresponding decision (No. 614 dated December 30, 2014).

Recall that the main criterion of annual banks group distribution is asset size. Current year 19 of 163 Ukrainian banks were classified as large.

There are four categories of banks in Ukraine: the largest banks, large, medium and small banks.
MEGABANK, PJSC has been operating in the banking market since 1990. The shareholders of MEGABANK are the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), German Development Bank “KfW” and International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Regional network of MEGABANK numbers 156 units in 20 regions of Ukraine. As of December 1, 2014 the bank's assets amounts to UAH 6,560 million, loan and investment portfolio – UAH 5,710 million, the bank's capital makes UAH 817 million, profit of the current year is UAH 33,270 thousand.
