OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ in 2014 produced 575.1 thousand vehicles and assembly kits, among which 386.8 thousand Lada cars and 133.9 thousand cars for the alliance Renault-Nissan.

Sales of Lada brand cars were 439.1 thousand units – it is less by 17.9% than in 2013. Among them in Russia it was sold 387.3 thousand cars, it was shipped for export 51.7 thousand cars.

"Despite the overall decline in our sales, we increased our share in the segment of cars that cost less than 600 thousand rubles. If the entire segment fell by 30% then Lada sales reduced by 15%. That is our market share in this segment rose from 38% to 42%,"- says the president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson. In general, the market share of Russian AvtoVAZ for the year was 16.6%.

The leader of sales of AvtoVAZ in 2014 is still Lada Granta with the index of 152.8 thousand cars. Growth driver became Largus - it was sold 74,000 of these wagons and vans last year, which is more by 16.4% than in the previous year.

For 2015 AvtoVAZ predicts the decline in domestic car market by 19% to 1.9 million cars. Therewith, sales of Lada should grow by 15-20% due to the active promotion of products in foreign markets, further improve of the localization of products (currently it is 82% for Lada cars) and the launch to market of two new promising models Lada Vesta and Lada XRAY.
