Moldova Reduces Export of Oil and Gas by 40%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2015. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, exporting oil for 11 months of 2014 compared with the same period of 2013 decreased by 17.4% up to USD 14.3 million, and exports of gas at the same time decreased 88.3% - up to USD1 million.
The share of oil and gas in the total Moldovan exports declined from 1.2% to 0.7%. The share of oil decreased from 0.8% to 0.7%, and gas from 0.4% to practically 0%. Moldova is a net importer of petroleum products, and, in the opinion of experts, the talk is about re-export of deliveries abroad of the crude oil produced by the company Valiexchimp in the South of Moldova, development of the oil fields, or from the diesel fuel after oil refining in Comrat.
Valiexchimp also operates in the South of the development of the gas fields in the perimeter of Victorovca village.
