OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2015. The reported 2019 deadline for a Ikea store in Tallinn seems to be to far away as Eesti Paevaleht discovers unlicensed re-seller in Lasnamae.

The shop boasts the trademark yellow-blue “Ikea” logo and sells Ikea products shipped in from Finnish stores, adding a 20 percent markup, the daily reported. The shop stocks the most popular products and offers to transport anything else from Ikea's catalogs.

The shop's director, Andre Eidel, said they have no agreement with the Swedish company, adding that he sees no legal obstructions as they themselves made the logo, and have a website in the making. The shop has been open since December.

Hanna Turetski of the Consumer Protection Board, said Ikea has already turned to Estonian courts over a online retailer using the Ikea logo, while Niclas Bengtsson, a representative of Ikea, told the daily they against any business which uses their brand without consent.
