Export of Moldovan Goods to Russia Decreased by 31%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2015. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, during the same period, deliveries of Russian products to Moldova decreased by 9.2%- up to USD622,9 million.
At the same time, the share of Russian Federation in the total Moldovan exports decreased from 26.5%- up to 18.9%, and imports - from 13.9%-up to 12.9%. The negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia for 11 months of 2014 made up USD 215,5 million, increasing by 2.3 times in comparison with the same period of 2013.
The decrease of Moldovan exports to Russia was caused mainly by the effect of the ban on the deliveries of Moldovan wines and cognacs, as well as fresh and canned fruits and vegetables. The basis of Moldovan exports to Russia was traditionally agricultural and food products - wines, brandies, fruit, vegetable canned food, and juices.
The largest share in the total imports from Russia accounts for energy resources. Data of the National Bureau of statistics data do not take into account trade and economic transactions the Transnistrian region enterprises.
