Dixy Group Opens Its First "Neighborhood" Store in Yekaterinburg
OREANDA-NEWS. DIXY Group opened its first "neighborhoods" store under DIXY brand in Sverdlovsk region. Located in Yekaterinburg, on Bebel Street, 138, the new DIXY store has already welcomed its first customers. Selling space of the store is 360 sq. m. It sells around 3,000 SKUs, out of which 40% are sourced from the Ural region local producers and suppliers.
DIXY Group has been operating in Sverdlovsk region and Yekaterinburg for more than 15 years, developing "Megamart" compact hypermarkets and "Minimart" supermarkets.
"We believe there is a high demand for compact "neighborhood" stores selling food and other products for daily needs among local consumers. In May 2007, the Company raised USD 360 mln in its IPO on the RTS and MICEX. A controlling stake of 54.4% in OJSC DIXY Group is owned by Mercury Group of Companies, a diversified holding company.
In 2013, the Company's total revenue amounted to RUR 180 bin (USD 5.7 bin).
The Russian business magazine Expert rates DIXY Group as one of the Top-100 largest Russian companies.
