OREANDA-NEWS. The announced increase of AvtoVAZ of prices for Lada from January 15th will affect only cars of 2015 manufacture year (by the passport of the vehicle, TCP).

"How many cars of 2014 manufacture year will be available at the old prices, while difficult to say, but we know that in mid-December stocks of unsold vehicles was more than 20 thousand units," - the press center of AvtoVAZ informed the agency "TASS".

Recall that AvtoVAZ announced an increase of prices for Lada cars from January 15th by 9% in average. According to company’s president, Bo Andersson, one of the main reasons for the increase in prices was the rise of the dollar and the euro, but Lada cars will remain competitive in comparison with imported cars.

The price of cars Lada Granta will increase less – by 18 thousand rubles - from January 15th, the new price for liftback – is from 332.8 thousand rubles, sedan - from 311.6 thousand rubles. Lada Largus Cross will be more expensive by 68 thousand rubles - its price will start from 553 thousand rubles.

The level of localization of Lada is 81% in average and the plant continues to work on improving of the ruble component. Previous price increase for the whole range of Lada was in March of 2014 - by 2.8% in average in the model range. The high level of localization gave AvtoVAZ the opportunity not to raise prices in the second half of 2014.
